Maintain space moisture humidity is controlled by cooling air to dew point temperatures or by using desiccant dehumidifiers. Humidity can affect the efficacy and stability of drugs and is sometimes important to effectively mold the tablets. Maintain space temperature which can affect production directly or indirectly by fostering the growth of microbial contaminants on workers.

VRF Air Conditioner System.

A Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heating and air conditioning system is a specific type of HVAC system which utilizes one outdoor unit that connects to multiple indoor units. A VRF system is still the only commercial system that continuously adjusts the refrigerant volume within the system to match exactly the heating or cooling requirement in each area, for optimum comfort and maximum energy efficiency. Climate Control is a best company  in VRF air conditioning Installation Contracting VRF air conditioning system are basically large multi-split systems where a number of indoor units are connected to the outdoor unit. These VRF air conditioning systems are generally used for larger applications where the alternative might be a central chilled water system or central ducted system. Against these other types of system VRF air conditioning would generally be comparable in capital cost but would quicker to install and more energy efficient to run.

  • Using a modular arrangement in excess of 1000 indoor units can be installed.
  • Units can be controlled either individually, in groups, centrally or in any combination required.
A Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heating and air conditioning system is a specific type of HVAC system which utilizes one outdoor unit that connects to multiple indoor units.  These indoor units can be single systems; serving one space, or a ducted system; serving multiple spaces.  The indoor units are controlled individually by a room thermostat in a variable flow mode, while the outdoor unit provides the refrigerant. This provides for the heating and/or cooling of the individual interior space.  The outdoor units can be either air cooled or water cooled and the indoor units are connected to the outdoor unit via refrigerant piping.

''Fan Coil Unit''

A fan coil unit (FCU) is a simple device consisting of a heating or cooling coil and fan. It is part of an HVAC system found in commercial, and industrial buildings. Typically a fan coil unit is not connected to duct work, and is used to control the temperature in the space where it is installed, or serve multiple spaces. It is controlled either by a manual on/off switch or by thermostat. The FCU is a simple appliance that works by itself, rather than as a component in an HVAC system. It contains only a coil and a fan to re-circulate indoor air in a smaller space because it does not use ducts to deliver further. The function is carried out as the fan transfers air over the coil to change the temperature warmer or cooler before pushing it out into the room.Fan coil units have been selected to provide local heating and cooling for many years and there are still many positive attributes that justify the choice of a fan coil unit system today.


Types of fan coil unit:
Fan coil units are divided into two types-
1. Two-pipe fan coil units:
Two-pipe fan coil units have one supply and one return pipe. The supply pipe supplies either cold or hot water to the unit depending on the time of year.
2. Four-pipe fan coil units:
Four-pipe fan coil units have two supply pipes and two return pipes. This allos either hot or cold water to enter the unit at any given time. Since it is often necessary to heat and cool different areas of a building at the same time, due to differences in internal heat loss or heat gains, the four-pipe fan coil unit is most commonly used.
Where the heating and cooling is provided locally, they may be referred to as variable refrigerant volume (VRV) or variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems. Here, refrigerant is circulated between one or more fan coil units and is connected to an external heat exchanger. These systems may be more prone to refrigerant leakage than units that are connected to hermetically-sealed central chillers.
Fan coin units are relatively compact and straightforward to install. However, they require regular maintenance to ensure continued efficient operation.When a fan coil unit cools air, it will generally cause condensation which must be collected and drained or pumped away.

Chiller System (HVAC)!!!


HVAC chiller is a key component of many commercial and industrial cooling and refrigeration systems. chiller is a machine that removes heat from a liquid via a vapor-compression Industrial chillers are generally installed in a mechanical equipment room, beside an industrial process, or outside the building. Residential HVAC chillers can be installed in a storage tank next to the home. Chiller system changes the physical state of refrigerant to transfer heat from one area to another. The laws of pressure-temperature relationship state that increased pressure on a refrigerant increases its temperature while decreased pressure lowers its temperature. As the refrigerant circulates through the HVAC chiller, various components change its pressure and temperature, causing it to boil into a gas and condense into a liquid. During the change of state from liquid to gas, the refrigerant absorbs heat, and the refrigerant releases heat when it returns to its liquid state. 


Types of Chillers-



Chiller Types have been designed to cater to the diversified requirement of industrial chillers Water chillers have evolved due to the variety in availability of type of energy at industry or small level.Types of chillers have made the use of the chillers flexible in terms of energy input.

 The Cooling Cycle of an HVAC Chiller-

  • Compressor to Condenser: The compressor sends hot refrigerant gas to the condenser, where the refrigerant’s heat is transferred to the cold water outside the component. As it cools, the refrigerant turns into a liquid.
  • Condenser to Metering Device: The metering device limits the flow of the liquid refrigerant causing it to drop in pressure which reduces its boiling point. The refrigerant quickly boils into a gas in a process known as adiabatic flash evaporation or auto-refrigeration.
  • Metering Device to Evaporator: As the refrigerant changes state into a gas, the metering device sends it to the evaporator. While vaporizing, the refrigerant absorbs heat from the warm water outside the chiller and cools the surrounding area.
  • Evaporator to Compressor: The warm refrigerant gas is sent from the evaporator to the compressor, where its pressure and temperature are elevated. A hot gas again, the refrigerant travels to the condenser, releasing its heat and beginning the cycle again.

Cooling towers are a major component in commercial and institutional facility comfort and process cooling systems. The process rejects waste heat into the atmosphere through the cooling of a water stream to a lower temperature.Hot water that has been heated by an industrial process or in an air-conditioning condenser, is pumped to the tower through pipes.Then the water sprays through nozzles onto banks of material called "fill," which slows the flow of water through the cooling tower, and exposes as much water surface area as possible for maximum air-water contact.As the water flows through the tower, it is exposed to air, which is being pulled through the tower by the electric motor-driven fan.
An HVAC(heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) cooling tower is a subcategory rejecting heat generated by a chiller. As heat loads increase, water-cooled chillers are more energy efficient than air-cooled chillers. Air-cooled chillers must reject heat at the higher dry-bulb temperature, and thus have a lower average reverse-carnot cycle effectiveness. In areas with a hot climate, large office buildings, hospitals, and schools typically use one or more cooling towers as part of their air conditioning systems. Generally, industrial cooling towers are much larger than HVAC towers. 


Cooling towers are used in central air conditioning systems. The function of the cooling tower is to cool the warm water from the chiller condenser. Following the central air conditioning system cycle, the heat from the rooms in a building is transferred to chilled water, which is then transferred into the refrigerant, and finally to the cooling water. The cooling tower is at the final point of the heat transfer. The heat is transferred to the atmosphere.

The heat in the cooling water is removed by letting moving air come into contact with it. Water is normally spread out and allowed to drop down by gravity from a height.
